soon it will be my dad's 60th birthday. i can't believe he has been gone for so long, and that he will never be 60 years old. the grief is real, but not as strong as it used to be. i don't cry as much and when i do somehow the tears aren't quite as bitter.

i am an old lady. i turn 35 very soon and am pretty sad about that. i have friends who are excited about maturing and the changes that will bring in their lives. not me. i think about my youth fondly and not without some nostolgia. i am an avid poker player and a fiercely loyal friend. i love my partner and the life we have built together. i am blessed and don't always take the time to acknowledge that. one of the most amazing blessings in my life was my father. now that he is gone i feel that loss like a wound daily. this site is for you daddy. you are never far.
